Are there any additional fees?
As with every financial order filed in the UK, you will need to pay an additional court fee of £58 when your consent order application is filed at court. If you are on benefits, it is possible to receive help paying this fee.
Can I apply for a financial consent order myself?
You can draft and submit this yourself however it is highly recommend that you receive legal assistance as it is very unlikely that your agreement will be approved by the court otherwise. The court require that your agreement be drafted correctly, formatted correctly and be a fair split of your assets.
